Nonsense Songs By Edward Lear

I can often be found whiling away the hours in a second hand bookshop, browsing the shelves in search of some hidden treasure. I certainly found a little gem in this book by Edward Lear, The Collected Nonsense Songs which are illustrated with his own drawings. The most famous of his Nonsense songs is probably The Owl And The Pussy-cat but there are many here that I am discovering for the first time such as The Jumblies, The Courtship Of The Yonghy-Bonghy-Bo and The cummerbund. They speak of another time and anotherworld. A really charming book.
